Vast Selection of Quality Timber
We are a leading supplier of quality timber in the Wide Bay and surrounding areas. We are the preferred supplier for many local home builders and timber yards. Our products are predominantly cut from blue gum, spotted gum, forest red gum and ironbark which are locally sourced, as well as others when available.
Timber can be cut to your specifications, from 25x25mm to 300x300mm and in lengths up to 6 metres or longer, depending on the availability of logs. Most of the timber is cut to order, but we do stock a small range of structural timber as well as decking, flooring and landscaping supplies at competitive prices.
We offer delivery of our products locally and throughout Queensland. Call (07) 4157 6215 to place an order.

FAQ
What types of hardwood are best for construction projects?
The best hardwood for construction depends on the intended use. For structural framing, hardwoods like ironbark and spotted gum are often preferred for their density and durability. For smaller sections or posts, species such as blue gum are versatile. It’s always worth considering the strength, finish, and local availability before making a choice.
Why choose locally sourced timber over imported options?
Locally sourced timber supports regional industries and ensures materials are suited to Australian conditions. Imported timber may look similar, but it often isn’t adapted to withstand local weather or demands. Using local logs reduces the environmental impact of shipping, while supporting jobs and businesses in the community.
How can I make sure my timber lasts outdoors?
To ensure timber lasts outdoors, it’s important to choose the right treatment and species. Hardwoods like spotted gum and ironbark naturally resist decay and termites, making them ideal for exposed conditions. GOS treated timber is another option for posts, rails, and sleepers. Regular maintenance, such as sealing or oiling, also extends the life of outdoor timber.
